Not long ago I shared information about a new book called The Mommy MD Guide to Losing Weight and Feeling Great. I received the eBook version of the book for review which I’ve been reading when working out at the YMCA, and it’s been a great inspiration with tips about eating, exercise, supplementing, coping with setbacks, stress, and more. It has helped me stay positive while exercising, as if I have friends with me sharing the ups and downs of their weight loss journey and supporting each other.

What I like about the book is that it’s full of valuable, useful information from real-life moms who are also doctors and health care providers. Each mom shares what works and has not worked for her, and sometimes what works for one mom doesn’t work for another. The book is honest and reassures that there isn’t only one path to weight loss success. Everyone’s needs and goals are different.
There are dozens of recipes and worksheets to help you determine what YOUR body needs to lose weight and to track your progress.
I like that I can read this at the gym on my Nook and it’s easy to get into the book no matter what page I go to. I think this is a great gift for moms because it’s uplifting and doesn’t make you feel like you’re a failure if you haven’t lost the weight – we’ve all struggled and the moms in the book are honest and fun!
