Fresh Acres fall festival located at 7385 Jason Ave NE, Monticello MN, which is 30 minutes from both Minneapolis & St Cloud. The festival will be open weekends September 17 through October 30, and will also be open Thursday and Friday of MEA break. Hours are 10am until 6pm. The ticket price for admission at the gate is $10 per person ages 4-69, and can be purchased at the gate or online at FreshAcresMN.com.
There are two mazes within the design. One is a smaller maze, specially designed for kids under 8 years old. The second maze is a larger maze that includes roughly 2.3 miles of paths. In this maze, kids of all ages are able to search for clues to determine who kidnapped Farmer Joe.
Included in the price of admission are additional activities including a corn pit, wagon rides, inflatables, bale mountain, a petting zoo, yard games, and a one of a kind combine slide, which will be loved by young and old kids alike.
Additionally, there will be unique activities each weekend, including things like exotic animals, bungie launch pads, RC car racing, and more (additional fees may apply). And of course there will also be available for purchase food from various food trucks, food for the animals in the petting zoo, corn cannon shots, straw bales, pick-your-own pumpkins from the pumpkin patch, and other Fall decor.
Again this year Fresh Acres partnered with Sand Pine Pheasants and Action Trackchair to have a track chair on hand at the maze. This provides an option to navigate the maze for guests who are wheelchair bound or not able to safely walk on the uneven terrain. Use of the chair is free of charge, however it is advised to call ahead to reserve the chair.
Owners, Dana and Zeke Berg, purchased the farm six years ago because it had many of the things needed to achieve their goals of finding ways to raise pastured, grass fed, animals and non-GMO, natural produce. The farm also has several acres of tillable land, and when contemplating what to do with it, they determined hosting a fall festival would help other families connect with each other and the agriculture existing around them. In keeping with their values, the corn maze, activity area, and onsite pumpkin patch are planted with non-GMO seed and are not sprayed with chemicals, making it unique among other corn mazes in the Twin Cities area.
