I know spring is coming because the Minneapolis Home & Garden Show is back! It’s March 2nd – 6th, 2022, at the Minneapolis Convention Center, and I have a 4 TICKETS TO GIVEAWAY!
My family went to the show in previous years and there was so much to see and do. There’s a family fun area, though my kids actually liked the gardens best. It really feels like you’re walking through spring!
Plus there are celebrities, an idea home, food and other cool things to see.

Featured Celebrity Guest: Mina Starsiak Hawk of HGTV’s “Good Bones”
Appearing on Friday, March 4 at 12 p.m.
Mina Starsiak Hawk is a home renovation expert, real estate agent, and star of the HGTV hit series “Good Bones.” Good Bones is in its 6th season, and follows Mina and her mother Karen, the co-founders of Two Chicks and a Hammer, a local home flipping business and brick-and-mortar store in their hometown of Indianapolis. In the show, tthey renovate and beautify old houses with “good bones” and transform them into their neighbors’ treasured homes.

The Idea Home
Once again, the Idea Home with its theme of “Minnesota Farmhouse” will inspire homeowners with the latest trends and designs. Everything from custom cabinets to the newest finds in furniture, accessories, and lighting design, all features of the home will provide attendees with numerous ideas.

The Feature Gardens
Five of the most talented landscapers from all over Minnesota will showcase their gardening design expertise. Participating landscaping companies include Holm & Olson Landscape Design & Construction; NRD Landscape Design Build; Sculptured Earth; Stonewall, Inc.; and Tracer Landscape and Concrete Inc.
Featured Presenter: Local Artist Drew Beson
Enormous abstract paintings filled with vibrant colors and bold movement typify Drew Beson’s work. His artwork can be found in private collections around the world. Don’t miss your chance to see some of his masterpieces in person and to witness Drew paint live on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Fresh Ideas Stage
Learn from a variety of home experts on the main stage. From interior design to home trends to landscaping techniques, you’ll learn something valuable and be inspired! Plus, catch special presentations from master gardeners sponsored by the Minnesota Horticultural Society.
Garden + Home Market
Some of the most requested items from our consumers are garden products! They spoke, we listened and now the Garden Market is here for all the latest in flowers, plants, and garden décor to take yards from dull and drab to bright and beautiful.
Backyard Lounge presented by TimberTech
Stop by the Backyard Lounge presented by TimberTech in Hall E where your favorite beverages meet the latest in outdoor furniture. Speaking of beverages, some of the Twin Cities top mixologists in town will be demonstrating and sampling specialty cocktails, including:

The Family Area presented by Minnesota Zoo
Guests of all ages can find fun things to do in the Family Area presented by the Minnesota Zoo. Adults, check out the retro arcade games and try to beat your record from the ‘90s. Kids may enjoy coloring and crafts. Plus, there will be beautiful butterfly inflatables to admire.
Butterfly Fun for the Little Ones
Butterflies! Kids will be all a-flutter as they learn about the stages of butterfly development and the importance of pollinators. They’ll be able to butterfly-friendly plant seeds in a small pot that they can take home and nurture. This fun activity takes place every day in the Hennepin County Master Gardener booth #1715.
Homes for the Pooch
Bid on a variety of dandy dog houses designed and built by students from Ogilvie High School. Proceeds will benefit Ruff Start Rescue.
Entrance Display
Soderberg’s Floral has designed a welcoming entrance display in Lobby D called “Up North.” It is sure to get you in the mood for the Show!
Playhouse
Bid on the unique playhouse created by Anoka-Hennepin – S.T.E.P (Booth #915). Proceeds will benefit Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
Annual Plant Sale
This annual event will occur after 5 p.m. on the final day of the Show, Sunday, March 6. Take part in the buying frenzy and get massive bargains from our landscapers.
Foodie Central
Lots of tasty items on the menu from local treat companies and food trucks. Enjoy a snack or a full meal, including chips and salsa, candy, pho French dips, tacos, and more.

Ticket prices:
- $12 if purchased online, $14 at the door
- Children: $4 for children ages 6 – 12, 5 and under are free
- Purchase your tickets at any Bachman’s location and save $3 off box office price.
- Guests 55+ will receive a $4 discount at the box office each day of the show with valid ID.
- $5 admission after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the box office

PUBLIC SERVANTS APPRECIATION DAYS are Wednesday, March 2 – Friday, March 4. All current government workers with valid government/employee ID get into the show for FREE on listed dates!
TEACHER’S DAY is Sunday, March 6! All teachers get into the show for free with valid school ID.
SENIOR DAY is every day! Guests 55+ will receive a $4 discount at the Box Office everyday of the show, March 2 – March 6, with a valid ID.
Everyday is TRADE APPRECIATION DAY! March 2-6 trade professionals from the home building and renovating industries or members of affiliated associations receive free admission with valid associate card and I.D. at the Box Office. We are accepting Business Cards, Association Membership Cards, Employee IDs, Vocational School and Trade School IDs.
Wednesday, March 2 – Saturday, March 5 received $5 admission after 5 p.m. at the Box Office.
