Just Between Friends Spring Sale in Maple Grove!

Are you busy spring cleaning like I have been? 

Do you have a ton of kids’ stuff to get rid of?

Did you know you can make MONEY selling your good quality kids’ stuff at Just Between Friends kids consignment sales? AND buy kids stuff for cheap?

My Experience Selling my Kids’ Stuff!

This spring I signed up to be a CONSIGNOR at a Just Between Friends kids consignment sale for the first time!!!! 
I sold items at the March sale in Coon Rapids. I hired a valet tagger to pick up my stuff and price everything…and most of my stuff sold!!!

I had 82 items, I sold 54, and I made $121.88 from the sale.  
 
I definitely wouldn’t have made anything close to that if I had just donated the items!
 
And I spent about the same amount of time getting things ready as I would if I were to just donate them. I cleaned them and sorted them, then my valet tagger picked them up and off they went! 
 
I was able to track items online and see which items sold each day of the sale.

I picked up the items that didn’t sell (they have a very organized process so you’re in and out quickly!), and then I got a check less than 2 weeks later!

Of course, you can tag items yourself and make more money. They have an easy online tagging system so it’s a no-brainer. 
 
You just need to set aside time to do it – and note that it takes a little longer the first time, but it gets easier each time. 
 
You also need to budget for some expenses, like plastic kids’ hangers for clothing items – you do have to provide these yourself but they’re cheap at places like Walmart. Plus if you’re tagging your own things you need to print your own tags on quality paper. But if you have a lot to sell it will easily pay off.
 
Thinking about selling? Do it! 
 
My advice:
 
1) Wait until you have a LOT to sell…I’d say over 100 items. I had close to that but intend to sell more at the next sale. And the more big-sized items you have to sell the better. 
2) Join their seller Facebook group for tips and conversation.
3) Set aside a chunk of time to tag things yourself, like a Saturday.
4) If you just don’t have the time but want to sell stuff, consider a valet tagger.
 
It may be too late for hiring a valet tagger, but it’s easy to tag items yourself!
 
About Valet taggers
 
Valet taggers will take and price your items for you for the sale. You pay them directly (it’s about $.25 to $.50 per item), but you still get a good portion (usually 60%) and it’s great if you’re super busy like me!  However, valet taggers are limited so you can need to inquire about them early. Or just set aside the time and try tagging your own items so you can get the highest amount from your sales! They provide all the info about selling items on their website.

Thursday, May 20: Opening Day! FREE General Admission, 10am-7pm. Select your entry time (morning or afternoon) when you get your ticket. I recommend signing up in advance for a shopping time to avoid waiting in line.

Cash and all major credit cards are accepted as forms of payment. Shopping during COVID I shopped the JBF sales last year and they have made a lot of changes to keep everyone safe. You NEED to read about the changes in advance but they’re simple. Of course, wear a mask and social distance. But you have to reserve a time to shop in advance, and then you’ll have to reserve your space in line.
