March is National Nutrition Month, and it’s National Frozen Food Month, and I have a NUTRITIOUS, frozen food review and giveaway to share!
If you struggle to get your kids to eat more veggies, or if you are trying to get more veggies into your own diet, there’s a great option that I tried that is super yummy and good for you!
They’re called “Veggies Made Great” and you can find muffins, frittatas, and veggie cakes.
They are made with nutrient-rich vegetables – so many that vegetables are their #1 ingredient!
The veggies are hidden in the muffins…like zucchini and carrots in the Double Chocolate Muffins. But in their Superfood Veggie Cakes, the veggies – like kale, carrots and cauliflower – are the highlight.
Veggies Made Great include the following products which you can find in the frozen food aisle:
- Blueberry Oat Muffins
- Double Chocolate Chip Muffins
- Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins
- Apple Cinnamon Muffins (their newest flavor!)
- Butternut Squash Veggie Cake
- Broccoli Cheddar Veggie Cakes
- Veggie Bacon & Potato Frittata
- Spinach Egg White Frittata
- Mushroom & 3
Cheese Egg White, Sausage & Pepper Frittata made with Beyond Meat ®
- Sausage, Egg & Cheese Frittata made with Beyond Meat ®
All their products are manufactured in a gluten-free, peanut-free, tree nut-free, soy-free facility, too.
My kids and I tried the Spinach Egg White Frittatas and the Double Chocolate Chip Muffins.
The Spinach Egg Frittatas tasted like something you’d eat at a restaurant! My mom liked them more than my kids did, but I loved that they were rich in nutrition and only have 70 calories each!
You just bake them for about 18 minutes at 350 degrees. You can also microwave them.
You can see the veggies inside these – they’re definitely not hidden.
The Double Chocolate Muffins were DECADENT! My kids agreed that they tasted so rich and moist it was hard to believe they were good for you!
You just heat them in the microwave a bit to warm them up and they’re only 110 calories!
Where do you get Veggies Made Great products?
I’ve seen them at many stores but I got them at Target. They are at grocery stores and now also at Walmart.
