‘Tis the season already here in Minnesota, as many holiday events are already beginning!
And one event is Bachman’s Holiday Ideas & Inspiration Self-Guided Tour!
This takes place every year at Bachman’s in Minneapolis – along with a Christmas play starring Santa & Albert the Elf.
Though Santa & Albert’s play will be online this year, the Holiday Ideas & Inspiration Self-Guided Tour will still be happening in person – but with safety precautions in place. This year, the tour follows a one-way walking path, features socially distanced displays, and allows a limited number of visitors per time slot.
The self-guided tour is happening NOW through Sunday, December 13th, 2020. It’s $5.00 per person, but you also get a coupon for 20% off your next regularly-priced purchase at Bachman’s.
Plus, twenty percent of ticket proceeds from the tour this year will benefit Spark-Y, a local nonprofit that “empowers youth through hands-on education rooted in sustainability and entrepreneurship.”
Our Visit
My daughter and I visited the Bachman’s Holiday Ideas & Inspiration “Home” last week and wow, it put us thoroughly in the mood for the holidays!
The tour goes through a series of “rooms” that are all decked out for the holidays, with both indoor and outdoor themes, gift ideas, and even photo opportunities.
And photos we did take – a LOT of them.
Here are a few glimpses of what we saw – I posted a bunch on Instagram but am sharing some of my favorites here. Check out my Instagram page for more!
The entrance
The entrance is adorned with many hanging ornaments from the ceiling.
Beautiful home decor scenes like this can be viewed along the way.
They had several dining tables decorated with festive flair.
Everything in the scenes can be purchased. You can take items from some displays, but some (like this one) you just need to ask for help to find and purchase an item you see.
A bed with snow and trees around it? For inspiration – sure!
There were many decorated home entrances with inspiration from around the world.
I loved the signs and trees.
Gifts Gifts Gifts
There were gift ideas galore – many edibles like pancake and dessert mixes, jams and jellies, hot cocoa and much more.
Pamper yourself or your gift recipients with ideas like these! I wanted the hooded throw, bath bombs and super cozy socks!
Photo Opportunities
Photo opps were at the end – you could pose in two different scenes. The second was with cardboard cutouts of Santa and Albert from their play which will be online this year!
I think this was my favorite (this sign is about $40):
This is just a glimpse of all you can see! (And by the end you’ll definitely want to use your 20% off coupon!)
And yes, Patrick’s Bakery is open – you just need to make a reservation in advance.
