I know many organizations are offering free food to anyone in need at this time, and now the YMCA has announced that they’re partnering again with The Sheridan Story to provide free, nourishing food to families in the community. Families can now stop by the front door at a participating YMCA or YMCA community center location (see website for locations) and take a free bag of food. Membership is not required but supplies are limited (this began March 25th). They ask that you please practice social distancing when picking up food. Food pick up is available Monday-Friday at 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Basically this is how it works: If you think you need it, you need it, and you’ll get it. It’s shelf-stable, nutritious food.
