Hot Wheels!

Hot Wheels are at the Minnesota Children’s Museum in St. Paul! My son has loved Hot Wheels for years so we were super excited about this exhibit opening up. We visited shortly after it opened and had a blast, and I have a ticket discount and GIVEAWAY to share!

First, about the exhibit:

Buckle Up for High-Speed Fun!

The Hot Wheels exhibit is open now through May 24th!

In this exhibit, kids will explore physics concepts through the world of car racing!!! Here are some highlights:

• Compete to see who has the fastest car at the track table
• Test tire-changing speed in the Pit Stop Challenge
• Experiment to see how car design affects speed and performance
• Race down a Hot Wheels track and go over a jump without crashing
• Experience the unique sounds of different racecar engines

The exhibit is bright and colorful and there are a variety of activities you can do. It really is like the Hot Wheels cars are brought to life and you’re in their world.

There’s a life-size car (or part of one) and kids can pretend to replace the tires and put gas in the tank. There are also other interactive activities throughout.

Kids can feel like they’re driving on the raceway!

My son is 9 and enjoyed the exhibit, especially racing real Hot Wheels cars down ramps and the simulator activities.

Near the exhibit is the Studio where we visited a bit to play with clay! They rotate materials available for play here but right now they have clay and it was very popular. Definitely plan on some time for this exhibit too!

Also downstairs is a new exhibit in the Creativity Jam area – Noodle World! This was a hit for families and for good reason – it is fun to walk through a field of noodles! And there’s a conveyor belt where you can send noodles to the top where they’ll pile up and then soon – you guessed it – fall on everyone!

We also visited the cafe, Tomato Tomato, which has a variety of snacks and meals. (And coffee for the parents!)
