I shared a while ago in my guide to “Hidden Gems for Families in the Twin Cities” that there are places that kids can skate for FREE right here in the Twin Cities, and I think it’s so neat that I thought I’d highlight them here!
Kids Skate Free is a nationwide program that partners with skating centers to give kids 2 FREE Roller Skating Passes every week of the year!
To sign up your kids, you just search for a local participating skating center on the Kids Skate Free website, view details and sign up!
A few things to note:
-This is for kids age 10 and under.
-There is a $4 administrative fee that you pay online one time.
-Skate rental costs are extra, ranging from around $3-4 a pair at each skating center.
-In addition, there are only select times of the week that you can skate for free at each skating center.
-Each skating center has their own terms so be sure to read in advance!
