Many Halloween celebrations at area malls are happening this year, so there is plenty of opportunity for costume and candy fun! Here is my compilation of Twin Cities Shopping Districts, Centers & Malls where your kiddos can trick or treat for free this year!

Saturday, October 27th
Trick or Treat Downtown. 10:00am – 12:00pm. Downtown Shakopee, 138 Lewis Street S, Shakopee. Trick or Treat in Downtown Shakopee is held annually on Halloween weekend and gives parents and kids a safe place to “run a muck” and get some treats as well! Dress up your little ones and visit downtown from 10 AM until 12 PM on Saturday, October the 27th!
50th & France Pumpkin Fest. 10:00am – 1:00pm. 50th & France in Edina. Join 50th & France for the 36th Annual Pumpkin Fest! Trick-or-treating in the area, including Halloween and fall-themed activities for kids! West 50th Street between France Avenue and Halifax Avenue will be closed with activities.
Fall Festival on Main Street. 10:00am – 2:00pm. Arbor Lakes, Maple Grove. This is a FREE trick-or-treating event that allows your entire family to dress to impress! Stop into every Main Street business that has a “Trick-or-Treat” Jack-o-lantern sign in their window and get a special treat! Participating Main Street businesses have gone all out to show how much we appreciate their community. The festival takes place on Main Street, from Elm Creek Blvd to Arbor Lakes Parkway and beyond. And be sure to enter their social media costume contest to win a bundle of Arbor Lakes goodies! Be sure to GIVE as well as receive at this event with their multiple CROSS donation barrels throughout Main Street! This year they are handing out FREE Arbor Lakes Rain Ponchos courtesy of Mundahl Law, Step by Step Montessori, and TC Orthodontics! Get yours at the sponsor booths or inside at Coldstone Creamery along with your candy! (Limit ONE poncho per person, while supplies lasts).
The Great Pumpkin Festival. 10:30am – 1:00pm. The Shops at West End, St. Louis Park. Join The Shops at West End on October 27 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. for The Great Pumpkin Festival! The Twin Cities Road Crew will create a fun photo opportunity, with custom cutouts giving families opportunities to take some fun photos of their children in costume! A bounce house will be onsite for kids to enjoy throughout the event! It also offers a great visual for the event! A balloon artist will be on site to offer themed balloons, free for all the children in attendance! There will also be a DJ, games, prizes, and candy!
Halloween Trick-or-Treat Event. 11:00am – 1:00pm. The Village of Blaine Shopping Center, 4335 Pheasant Ridge Dr NE, Blaine. On Saturday, October 27th, The Village of Blaine Shopping Center will be hosting a free Halloween event for kids! Bring your kids in their best costumes for this Trick-or-Treat Event! Free Candy Bags* (* While supplies last).
Happy Halloween Event. 11:00am – 2:00pm. Southtown Shopping Center, Bloomington. Families can enjoy free horse-drawn hayrides, music, games and giveaways at the Southtown Halloween Party from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Southtown Shopping Center in Bloomington. Kids will enjoy dancing to KidsDance Entertainment and participating in craft activities provided by Artistry. Other activities will include balloon animals, facepainting, games and prizes. Children will also receive a free Halloween tote bag and treats (while supplies last). The event will take place on the north side of Herbergers in the former Toys ‘R’ Us building.
Trick or Treat on Main Street, Stillwater. 12:00 – 4:00pm. Downtown Stillwater. Both Saturday and Sunday. Bring the kids to Historic Downtown Stillwater for Trick or Treating! Saturday 27th noon – 4, Sunday 28th noon – 4. Trick or treat around Downtown Stillwater at your leisure. Wander in and out of participating businesses that have a Trick or Treat sign displayed! Maplewood Mall’s Boo ‘n Brew Festival. 2:00 – 5:30pm. Maplewood Mall. This event is replacing trick-or-treating that typically happens on October 31st. KidX Club Activity Zones take place directly after Trick or Treating. Proceeds will be donated directly to the Madison Claire Foundation. We are kicking up trick or treating and expanding your tradition into a spooktacular festival filled with treats, crafts, bounce houses, face painters, balloon artists, live music and more! Join us for the first annual Boo ‘N Brew at Maplewood Mall. Perfect for all ages, we will have trick or treating and activities throughout the center for the kids, a fall themed photo booth set up to get in some pictures with the family, BAE or your besties, food and beer specials (21+) from our friends at Admiral’s, and of course, some live music!

Halloween – Wednesday, October 31st
Mall of America. 5:00 – 8:00pm. It’s the one day of the year you can go to the Mall of America, go from store to store and get goodies for FREE!
On Halloween, the Mall of America celebrates “Howl-O-Ween” where kids can dress up in costume and collect treats from participating shops throughout the mall from 5:00 – 8:00pm. Come dressed in your All Hallow’s Eve best as you scour MOA for sweet treats at participating retailers. Leave the tricks at home + grab your treat bag in the Rotunda starting at 5 p.m. Snap a photo at our Halloween photo booth, test out a robot in their Allergy Free Zone, or visit Southeast and Macy’s Court for more tasty treats! Don’t forget to discover the Blue Spot and Green Spot in Nickelodeon Universe® for more treat giveaways!* It’ll be a spooktacular evening for all ages!

Burnsville Center. 5:00 – 8:00pm. Come Trick or Treat on our Street! Participating retailers throughout the mall will offer special treats to little ghouls & goblins in a fun environment. While supplies last. Stop by Spirit Halloween and take a spooky selfie at their selfie station! Located on the upper level.
Rosedale Center. 5:00 – 8:00pm. Roseville. Bring out the family for our annual mall wide trick-or-treating event! One of our favorite events of the year — families have the opportunity to trick-or-treat at 100+ retailers in a safe, warm and fun environment! Plus, there will be a chance to meet and take a photo with local superheroes in addition to trivia, crafts, games, prizes, music, and free Halloween themed balloons in East Court from 5 – 8 p.m. Mall wide trick-or-treating will be held from 5-8 p.m.
Eden Prairie Center. 5:30 – 8:00pm. Eden Prairie. Who’s ready for a ghoulishly delightful Halloween?! 👻 Eden Prairie Center will be hosting Halloween in the Mall on October 31 from 5:30-8pm. This free event will include trick-or-treating at participating stores and a stage for music and dance in the center court. There will also be a police squad car in Barnes & Noble court and a fire vehicle in the Kohl’s wing next to the Children’s Play Area with officers and firefighters passing out candy! Does your child have a food allergy? Eden Prairie Parks and Recreation will be in the center court passing out allergy-safe treats! Please note: No masks allowed on teens or adults.
Northtown Mall. Blaine. 6:00 – 8:00pm. Witch way to candy? Join us for Trick or Treating through-out the mall. Stores participating will have an orange pumpkin on their store front. Trick or Treating will take place 6pm-8pm. Don’t miss our 2 spooky selfie stations and fun kid games at Center Court. Adults can wear costumes but are not allowed to wear masks or anything that conceals their identity.
