I had the most fun experience with A Girls Guide to Cars and Toyota at the Twin Cities Auto Show! I’m still thinking about it and wanting to relive it again so I had to put this post together to share it with all of you,
A group of local bloggers came together to explore the auto show early on opening day (we got to go in at 8am; doors opened to the public at 10am). We spent a lot of our time with the Toyota cars but got to check out a lot of other unique experiences too!
This year it’s the 45th annual Twin Cities Auto Show showcasing HUNDREDS of vehicles from luxury to economy cars. The dates are March 10th – 18th with deals, freebies and special events galore. If you haven’t gone, you have one more day to go – otherwise be sure to mark it on your calendar for next year!
Learning about Toyota vehicles was fun for me because as I mentioned in my post last week, I’ve been a Toyota snob for years. I got a Corolla in 2001 which lasted me until 2015, and then got a Sienna van which I still have. We also have a Toyota Highlander in our family which has been great. I just love Toyotas – they’re practical, reliable, attractive, and affordable. Everything this frugal mom wants.
Below is the latest Avalon and Sienna. The 2018 Avalon is probably Toyota’s biggest pride for this year – it’s like a luxury car without the luxury price. It’s spacious as a midsize sedan but economical with an EPA-estimated 40 mpg combined.
Nonetheless, as a busy momma with need for room – I had to pose with my current go-to vehicle, the Sienna.
If you’re curious about Toyotas, one thing I’d recommend checking out is the newly standard Toyota Safety Sense. You can even experience it in action via virtual reality at the auto show.
I know Camry’s are nice, but wow have they come a long way in style. I couldn’t believe this was a Camry. I need every Toyota vehicle now…
There were so many interactive activities I don’t know where to start. You can get your picture taken as an Olympic athlete, send a handwritten message to an actual Olympic athlete, and test drive a vehicle for yourself!
Here I am with blogger Shanna from Peyton’s Momma. (I recommend following her blog!)
There’s also a Star Wars Nissan Rouge Sport A-wing vehicle which was modeled after a Star Wars spaceship. It’s so cool!
And the Auto Show was sure to include the kiddos’ need to burn off some energy – “The Neighborhood” powered by Millz House features a Scooby-Doo van and other familiar vehicles, a playset and a basketball court.
Camp Jeep is a huge draw at the Twin Cities Auto Show. I was one of the first in line – it’s basically an obstacle course you go on in a Jeep driven by a professional.
Watch my experience here that I shared on Facebook LIVE!
And be sure to check out the Lexus LC 500 Black Panther car that was actually used in the filming of the movie!
You can see it at Luxury Lane in the Luxury Ballroom with many other fancy vehicles!
