It’s past mid-December and you’ve got oodles of people on your gift shopping list. (Am I right?)
How do you get your shopping done for everyone without having to run from store to store across the Twin Cities?
I had a couple hours for shopping one afternoon earlier this week, so I had a good lunch, grabbed some coffee, and then headed to Gordmans in Woodbury while my kids were still in school.
I’ve enjoyed shopping at Gordmans for years thanks to their great variety and low prices, and have shared my many experiences here with you. And I was sad when they closed most of their locations in the Twin Cities this past year (and many across the country). Thankfully there are still locations in Woodbury and Burnsville!
As I walked around the store this week, the title of this post came to me. The whole store was one big gift shop! In addition to basics like clothing, shoes, and small furniture, they sell so many giftable items for everyone on your list – kids, grandparents, teens, moms, dads, pet-lovers, home decor-lovers, and pretty much everyone else.
Of course, they had fun holiday items as soon as you walk in the store – as well as stocking stuffers and small gift items at bargain prices!
There are racks and racks of clothing for women, men, juniors, boys, girls, and infants. The prices are mainly from $10-30 but jackets and other items are higher, but still reasonable.
Gordmans ROCKS at having a huge selection of gift items. They were everywhere – candles, aromatherapy diffusers (you know these have been popular lately), stylish boots, candy and treats, decor galore for any home.
My kids love heading to Gordmans with me to look at the toys and other kids’ stuff. I took advantage of their being in school during my shopping trip to pick up some Christmas gifts. They have a nice variety of toys for all ages – LEGOs, Shopkins, Disney, and many more for less than you’d find in other stores.
They have a ton of great crates, fabric bins and other unique ways to put together gift baskets. I love their farmhouse style containers (read more about these gift basket ideas here).
This is where I get myself in trouble. I stop and adore things that I’d love to have myself, or that are really cool and unique! And I browse…and browse.
Their home decor selection was greater than anywhere else I’ve shopped – lamps, wall art, everything you could use to organize your home and more.
I LOVED these tall wooden signs for the home. On the top right – those are Christmas Tree Car Costumes! I’ve seen them around but had no idea where to get them. And of course, there are salt lamps (really popular nowadays, too).
They also have:
- cards
- pet supplies
- kitchen gadgets
- cookware
- decorative desk storage
- and so much more…
And of course, they have everything for your gift wrapping needs year-round.
And I loved these bags – this place definitely gets my frugal thumbs up. The prices are low and the variety is so vast. The only problem is that you’ll want to buy way more than you came for!
