Have you ever wished you had a book you could page through with your family to find lists of fun things to do in the Twin Cities?
Well, such a book really exists – and it’s called the Twin Cities Adventure Guide!
The Twin Cities Adventure Guide is a comprehensive directory of all the fun things you can do in and around the Twin Cities, plus ways to save money at many of those places.
The Twin Cities Adventure Guide was created by Megan Meuli, a college instructor and mom in the Twin Cities who wanted to create a resource for “new residents, visitors, families and backyard adventure seekers.”
Megan reached out to me to share info about her book and I have to say I was instantly a huge fan of both Megan and the book. Megan is so nice and creative, and also manages a blog with deals, discounts and event information.
The book, now in its 3rd year, is 73 pages full of everything from historical attractions to movie theaters. It includes lists of counties and cities, plus yearly events in the area, and the rest is divided into sections:
Eat, Drink & Be Merry – Breweries, Farmers Markets, Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Parlors, Orchards & Nurseries and Vineyards & Wineries
Learn a Little – Bookstores, Cultural Centers & Festivals, Galleries & Gardens, Historical Attractions, Libraries, Nature Centers, Performing Arts, Science & Star Gazing and Zoos & Animal Centers
Laugh a Lot – Amusement Parks & Mini Golf, Arts & Crafts, Beaches, Biking & Hiking, Bowling, Camping, Comedy Clubs, Indoor Fun, Movie Theaters, One-of-a-Kind Outdoor Experiences, Parks & Play Areas, Skating: Roller Skating & Ice Skating, Skiing, Snowboarding, Sledding & Snow Tubing, Swimming & Splash Pads, Spectator Sports, Tours, and Trains, Trolleys & Transportation!
Included is an index featuring Mall of America attractions, Camps, Parties and special discounts you can find.
This book is a great resource for discovering fun places to visit in the Twin Cities that you wouldn’t have known about otherwise! It’s very well organized and covers all areas of Minneapolis/St. Paul and suburbs.
The Twin Cities Adventure Guide is sold at local book stores and boutiques including Magers and Quinn, Common Good Books, The Red Balloon Shop, Bibelot, Moon Palace Books, University of Minnesota Bookstores, Uncommon Garden, Eat My Words, Wild Rumpus, In addition books can be purchased online at Create Space, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble.
