I love Caribou Coffee. I wish I could afford to go there regularly but when I do it’s such a treat. However, I’m planning to make it in this month because they’re offering their 18th annual Amy’s Blend program, a great cause for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Every year Caribou Coffee honors its original roastmaster Amy Erickson, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 1995, by supporting women and men in Caribou’s communities who are impacted by the disease through the Amy’s Blend program and collection.
Having known many women in my own life who have been impacted by breast cancer, I wanted to share this to help the fight against cancer.
From September 28 and through October 31, Caribou will again offer its Amy’s Blend collection, both in stores and online donating 10 percent of proceeds to the organization CancerCare. You can also purchase Amy’s Blend coffee beans in grocery stores. For every 11 oz. bag of Caribou Coffee Amy’s Blend sold in grocery stores, $0.50 will be donated to CancerCare. (I just ran out of my favorite Caribou Coffee that I use to make frappes at home, so I’ll be picking up some Amy’s Blend coffee to help this great cause.)
The unique 2013 Caribou Coffee Amy’s Blend collection includes:
· Exclusive hot and cold drinkware
· Accessories including an infinity scarf, lip gloss, hair ties and pen
· Caribou Coffee Amy’s Blend coffee and tea
Another really cool deal Caribou Coffee is offering is this. If you purchase a new, extremely limited Caribou Coffee Amy’s Blend hot tumbler you will receive unlimited free coffee refills for the entire month of October. The retail price for the tumbler is $29.99.
In addition to offering a wide variety of Caribou Coffee Amy’s Blend collection items, Caribou is also providing warmth to those in need through an innovative social campaign, “Caribou Knits.” For every message shared using #CaribouKnits on Facebook or Twitter from September 28th through October 31st, Caribou team member volunteers will knit one inch of a scarf. Caribou Coffee will transform the lobby of its headquarters into a knitting room and Caribou team member volunteers will help to knit scarves on site each day throughout the month. Every Facebook post or tweet will bring Caribou one inch closer to its goal of spreading love and coziness this season. All scarves will be donated to CancerCare to provide warmth to those impacted by breast cancer in the Caribou communities. Here’s a video about this campaign:
