Looking for some indoor family fun this weekend?
Tech Fest is coming up this Saturday, Feb. 25th at The Works Museum in Bloomington!
What is Tech Fest? It’s hands-on, engineering fun for families! Kids are natural engineers, full of questions such as why, how, and what if I did it differently? Tech Fest gathers corporations, educational institutions and other nonprofits working in engineering and technology to share their work and inspire kids.
What you’ll find at Tech Fest
- Kid-friendly demonstrations such as using K’Nex and shake tables to explore how civil engineers make buildings safe during earthquakes
- Medical technology using a life-sized operation game and licorice
- Color-changing jewelry and more
- The Works Museum’s own Tech Take-Apart, a hands-on activity that encourages kids to dismantle and learn about “the guts” of machines and electronics. With goggles and steady hands, kids disassemble and explore computer towers, stereo equipment, hard drives, and all sorts of other treasures.
When: Saturday, February 25, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Where: The Works Museum, 9740 Grand Ave S., Bloomington, MN, 55420
Cost: $8 pre-registered (through 2/22/17); $10 at the door. Free for members.
